+ What is Young European Artists?
Young European Artists is a nonprofit platform dedicated to supporting emerging European artists. Founded in 2020 in Brussels, we transform underutilized spaces into dynamic creative communities. Our mission is to bridge the gap between vacant properties and emerging artists by providing affordable and creative spaces for artists to work and present their art.
+ Who founded Young European Artists?
Young European Artists was co-founded by Célestin Fresnay and Pierre Colaiacovo. The organization was created during the COVID-19 pandemic, which transformed the world and the real estate industry, creating vacant spaces that we now repurpose for artistic use.
+ What services do you provide to artists?
We support artists with what matters most at the beginning of a career: affordable studios and workspaces, digital visibility through our platform and curated portfolios, access to opportunities such as open calls, residencies, prizes, and competitions, and a community that creates momentum through encounters and collaborations.
+ Where are you located?
We are based in Brussels, the capital of Europe. We develop spaces designed around artists' real needs: places to work, exchange, and build. Our spaces also open up to the public through exhibitions, open studios, and events.
+ How do you support emerging artists?
We support emerging artists by providing affordable studios and workspaces, digital visibility through our platform, access to opportunities like open calls and residencies, and by building a community that connects artists with their peers, audiences, collectors, and cultural partners. We also organize exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and gatherings to give artists the opportunity to show their work in a professional context.
+ What are your future goals?
Our goal is to grow from transitional spaces to long-term, permanent places for artists in Brussels. We also aim to create an annual international art fair for young European artists to promote their work and increase their visibility to the public.
+ How can I get in touch with you?
You can contact us by phone at +32 473 52 50 28 or by email at info@youngeuropeanartists.com. Whether you are an artist, a partner, or a space owner, we would love to hear from you and build the next chapter together.
