Born in 1996 in Montreal, Canada, Camille Poitvin lives and works in Brussels. She is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice places installation at the heart of her work. Using images, sculpture, and sound, she creates spaces conducive to introspection within a world driven by acceleration. Her work questions social norms and the narratives that structure our daily lives, seeking to challenge preconceived notions about human interaction, social roles, and the construction of identity.
A graduate of Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels with a Master of Fine Arts in Photography, she received a King Baudouin Foundation Creation Grant and the Servais Prize during her studies. Her work has since been exhibited in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Italy.
