Asia Gelin is a French artist born in 1998. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, she now lives and works in Brussels, where she is developing her research and artistic practice at our institution.
Her work, described as formal and intuitive, is constructed according to the act of creation and the passage of time. Formal concerns take a back seat to the process. This process, both rigorous and intuitive, results in a raw style of painting, rooted in figurative art but full and saturated with itself.
